Man I love soccer in the U.K. No, no, not the game. The sport sucks, I mean the fact that there are almost as many hot girlfriends and wives as there are players. The mere fact that the Web site The Spoiler is up to #89 in their list of WAG's is proof of that. Now, according to The Sun, we can add one more to the list: Chanelle Hayes.
Apparently becoming a WAG in the U.K. is as much a sport as soccer...
She's got the pout and the clothes and now Posh Spice wannabe Chanelle has bagged herself a footballer boyfriend just like her idol.
Sadly for her, Tottenham Hotspur's Tom Huddlestone isn't exactly David Beckham.
The midfielder has invited the BB muppet to watch him on the subs bench against Liverpool on Sunday.
Earlier this week Chanelle was harping on about how she would never be a WAG.
Damn, even benchwarmers get hot chicks over there. Welcome to the club, Chanelle.
Here's a video of her new single... apparently all you have to do is be kinda hot to become a pop singer across the pond.

Cheryl Tweedy time!
My favorite WAG Cheryl Tweedy was out again and lucky for us someone snapped some photos. This go-round sees her out for some lunch with her footballer husband and all-around idiot Ashley Cole (not pictured, deliberately).
Yes, I am now covering Cheryl Tweedy when she eats. If she stops to take a shit and there are photos, I shall cover that too.

Playing soccer while on fire is a heck of an idea
I love this idea. There are literally dozens of soccer players (and coaches and fans) I'd like to see play soccer this way (only without the flame retardant suits).

SUBMIT TO yardbarker | ballhype | showhype | diggBeckham jersey leads to legal threats... between kids?
Here's how I would settle this dispute. Take a bat and beat them all over the head, then take the jersey and light it on fire. How about them apples?
It started when the two boys, teammates in the Honolulu Bulls soccer club, held up bright orange Beckham signs in the front row at Aloha Stadium Feb. 22 in hopes their hero would give them his game jersey.
Following the match, Beckham ran over, pointed to one of the boys, and handed him his jersey.
Who Beckham meant to give the jersey to depends on whom you ask.
You think I am being too harsh in my judgment? Read on...
The 9-year-old had possession first, said his parents, Wilfred and Satomi Ho, so they felt he should keep the jersey.
But the 10-year-old held his sign the entire game and that's the reason Beckham came to them, said his parents, Eric and Yoshika Kerr.
Their name is "Ho". Haha. Okay, sorry. Moving on...
Alexi Lalas, president and general manager of the Galaxy, agrees with me. Well, to a point...
"My suggestion is that the judge get a pair of scissors, cut the thing in half and give half to each," he said. "It's certainly not anything that we would ever want to have happen and certainly not anything that David or any of our players who hand out jerseys would have intended."
Word, Alexi. Why am I not surprised this little tiff occurred amongst soccer fans?

Alessia Merz is WAG #75
Alessia Merz is crazy hot. She is also the wife of footballer Fabio Bazzani. And she is the 75TH different WAG that the Web site The Spoiler has featured. 75TH! WTF?! Someone PLEASE tell me how soccer players (especially those in Europe) are able to pull so much fine trim? I mean, damn! What is with that?
Unfortch, The Spoiler must care about making money, so they put little graphics over the good bits as you can see above. This forced me to hunt around for uncluttered pics of the lady and I was overwhelmed with the sheer quantity of sexay pictures available online. Lord love the Internet. At least our heroes over at The Spoiler were nice enough to post a video of Ms. Merz so we can see what she looks like when she moves.

Cheryl Tweedy is a little nippy
You know the rules around here. If pics of Cheryl Tweedy cross my desktop, I post 'em. This time we catch our favorite WAG out and about in London woefully underdressed for the temperature. Yay, pokies!!
Man I wish I was there. I'd have given her my coat, and my wallet, and my pants, and my car, whatever she needed. You hear me, Cheryl?! Whatever you need!
Oh yeah, be sure to check out the girl that Cheryl's dimwitted husband, footballer Ashley Cole, allegedly cheated on her with here. Can you say "homely"? I knew you could.

David Beckham's son, Cruz, has a message for you
I'm not sure if three year-old Cruz Beckham was flipping off the paparazzi or those who doubt David's ability to bring anything positive to the MLS. Or maybe it was meant for those who doubt his mom's ability to sell crappy clothing. Or perhaps it's just the family's answer to Eva Longoria wanting to get together to play some board games. I am sure it's one of those things.
Three years-old and he's already cooler than his mom and dad.

Now THIS will make me watch soccer
I pretty much can't stand soccer. I think it is boring and I despise the fact that there is a riot, stabbing, or some other form of insanity at least once every couple of weeks in the international form of the sport. There are ways to get me to watch though and this item below falls into that category.
New York contemporary artist Spencer Tunick has gained notoriety worldwide for photographing thousands of people in the nude. Now he's planning to pack a Vienna soccer stadium with 2,008 naked fans in the run-up to the Euro 2008 tournament.
Austria's national railway said Thursday it will offer free travel to the first 2,008 men and women who sign up to bare it all for the May 11 spectacle.
Carol, check flights to Austria, stat!
Man, I hope that photo shoot ends up looking something like this...
