Greatest coffin evar

Bill Bramanti of Glenwood, Illinois plans to go out in style.

Hell, he's not even waiting. He's living in style as well!

[Bramanti] threw a party Saturday for friends and filled his silver coffin — designed in Pabst's colors of red, white and blue — with ice and his favorite brew.

Pabst needs to get this guy a free lifetime supply of their lager, pronto.

Coolest motorcycle evar

This bike is owned by one Mad Ron Laycock. No way that's his real name. But when you own a 3,800 HP jet cycle, I guess no one's going to say anything, huh? I totally want to pull into the parking lot at work with this thing.

Although if I did ride this monstrosity to work, you might not want to tailgate too close. Or walk behind it. Or ride your bicycle near it...

Worst (or best?) tattoo evar

I really don't know what to say about this other than to present it to you for comment.

Is this cool? Sad? Weird? Awesome? Do women like it? Does it give him Spidey-sense?

Geekologie has more pics, including what this dude did to his arms. Hint: they follow the same theme.

The coolest politician evar

Sue Myrick, representative for the Charlotte/Gastonia 9th District in the United States House of Representatives, is awesome. In this video she congratulates wrestling legend Ric Flair on his recent induction into the WWE Wrestling Hall of Fame, which is very cool, but the killer is that she topped it off with a "WOOOOOOOO!"

The most amazing professional wrestler evar

The other day I was chatting with my guy The Prophet of The Savage Science and he mentioned this Japanese wrestler that he claimed was "borderline ridiculous." So I check this guy out and learn that there is nothing borderline about it. He is 100% ridiculous.

The wrestler I am speaking of is a man named Takuya Sugi. He is 24 years old, was trained by Ultimo Dragon, and he is absolutely amazing. How this man has not been signed by Vince McMahon and the WWE is beyond me. I don't care if he is only 5'4" and 143 pounds, I would pay to watch him wrestle any day of the week. Something I cannot say about 99% of the current wrestlers performing in the United States today.

How good is he? I'll let some of the comments (with spelling/grammar errors corrected by me) from people who watched videos of him on YouTube tell you...

  • "He is a living video game. DAMN!!!!!!!!!"
  • "I don't really like wrestling, but this dude is awesome!"
  • "OK, umm this guy is insane. And yeah, holy crap."
  • "Dude, he is insane."
  • "He has flawless form. The absolute pinnacle of high-fliers."
  • "That blazing arrow [move] made me spit out my Mountain Dew!"
  • "One of the very best in the whole damn planet!"
  • "This dude is fuckin' wicked."
  • "Damn, this guy is only in his 20's and he is doing moves no one else can do!"
  • "There is a legend, that after God created men, he realized he could do much better, and then Takuya Sugi was born."
Here's a quick rundown of his numerous finishing maneuvers:
  • Shooting star senton
  • Swan dive 450° splash
  • Twisting victory roll pin
  • Slingshot corkscrew split-legged moonsault
  • Swan dive dragonrana
  • Reverse 450° splash
  • Running standing step-over shooting star press
  • Diving inside cradle
  • Ropewalk springboard dropkick
  • Corkscrew 450° splash
  • High mounted corkscrew 450° splash
  • Corkscrew Asai moonsault
  • High speed pinning hurricanrana
  • Corkscrew dragonrana
  • Corkscrew shooting star press
  • High speed swan dive pinning hurricanrana
  • Corkscrew moonsault
  • Electric chair twisted into a sunset flip powerbomb
  • Split-legged springboard leg drop
  • Double springboard frog splash
  • Iconoclasm
  • Déjà vu headscissors takedown
  • Déjà vu implant DDT
  • Springboard moonsault into a double back elbow smash
  • Tiger feint kick over the top rope
  • Springboard diving elbow drop
  • Inverted hurricanrana
  • Cartwheel into a moonsault plancha

For comparison's sake, I've listed the finishing maneuvers of the legendary Undertaker (who headlined the latest edition of Wrestlemania and is arguably the greatest wrestler of the past 15 years)...

  • Tombstone Piledriver
  • Last Ride
  • Chokeslam
  • Gogoplata

If that's not enough to convince you of Sugi's talent, just check this out... (And be sure to hang around because the second half of the video is the real treat.)

As my man Matt of Let's Wrestle and Epic Carnival says, "Bottom line is wrestling in Mexico and Japan is downright an art form. The wrestling here in the U.S. is NOTHING like that of Japan and Mexico."

So which type of wrestling do you think is more fun to watch? Takuya Sugi sure makes me wonder.

Coolest watch evar

Introducing the Van Der Led WM2 Cellphone Watch. Pretty cool looking, huh?

The watch, which costs $471, has a 1.3-inch, 260k color touchscreen display, stereo Bluetooth, up to 240-hours of standby or 300-minutes of talk, plus 1GB of storage for MP3 or MP4 files, and it isn't 1/10th as ugly as every other version of cellphone watches that have ever been created.

Now if I could get some advertisers for this site (which had almost 600,000 page views last week ... you hear me advertisers?!) I might be able to afford one.

Professional Beer Pourer is a job?

According to the YouTube description of this video that is this guy's occupation. Bets job evar? Even if it isn't, these might be the greatest beer pours evar. He even has names for them like the Hook Shot, Flamingo Style, and the Double Inverted. I think I saw Mary Carey do some of those moves, but they looked nothing like this.

Awesomest BB gun evar

This is just pure insanity, which makes it totally awesome! Check out the Walther NightHawk BB Gun. I had to use bold print there, this gun requires it. This is the BB gun that Chuck Norris would use if he needed a gun that shot BB's, which of course he doesn't, because he's Chuck Norris.

GadgetKing has a shitload of specs on it (like a red dot sight and a pressure sensor switch for the attached light) which may interest some of you, but not me. I don't even want to shoot the thing, I just want to walk around with it scaring the shit out of everyone.

Only $159.99 at Amazon! If you buy one, let me know. I want to be your new best friend.

Product demo video!

Worst goalie evar

Okay, maybe calling him the worst goalie evar is a bit harsh, but Maple Leafs goalie Vesa Toskala did give up a length of the ice goal ... on his team's own power play ... against the Islanders yesterday.

Somehow the Leafs still managed to shake off this humiliation and win the game 3 to 1, thus keeping them solidly in last place in their division.

SIDE NOTE: When you do a Google search for the words "NHL Standings", the second link (and the first one to display "NHL.com - Standings") takes you to the league's standings for the 2005-2006 season, which I am sure is in very high demand by hockey fans. NHL marketing at it's finest, folks.

The hottest figure skater evar

Massive props to The Big Lead (where they have video of her) for bringing Russian figure skater, Anna Semenovich, to our collective attentions. Unfortunately, she no longer skates competitively. In 2001, she was among the leaders of Russian figure skating, now at age 27, she is basically just modeling and singing... their loss, our gain, I guess.

From an interview in 2005 ---

You had success in figure skating. What forced you to quit the big sport?
Actually, there is a lot to tell in this area. For example, the judging is prejudiced in figure skating. It is not a secret for anyone, we saw it even in last Winter Olympic Games. Somehow to get up in the ranks one needs connections. I did not have those. Therefore, although our pair was second in the Russian rankings after Ilya Averbuh and Irina Lobacheva, we were seldom in first place. For example, it was very insulting, when I skated in international competitions with Denis Samokhin, and the other contenders skated with serious mistakes. They even fell down. But in the end, we were only in second place, and they in the first. I was tired of such unfair refereeing. Besides, the big role in my decision to quit was certainly my trauma. I had a meniscus operation.

Damn meniscuseses... Well, so much for me watching the Olympics. They had me there for a minute.

Best catch evar

Some ballplayer named Chad Collar makes one of the most amazing catches you will ever see in a charity softball game in Marquette, Michigan that took place this past Sunday.

Just to top this post off, as I was retrieving the code to post the video above I saw the one below. Someone jacks a homer and it doinks off the top of a guy's head who was riding his bike outside the park. "It was a million to one shot, doc... a million to one."

The largest hamburger evar

A Detroit-area restaurant believes it has broken the world record for "largest hamburger commercially available," topping the previous record of 123 pounds.

This sucker weighs in at a svelte 134 pounds. It sells for $350, requires 24 hours notice to order, takes three men using two steel sheets to flip it, has a 50 pound bun, and was eaten in 8-1/2 minutes by Rosie O'Donnell as a midnight snack.*

The lamest sports world record evar

Over the NBA All-Star Weekend, your New Orleans point guard and All-Star Chris Paul set a Guinness Book of World Records, uh, record. One that if you hurry out to your high school gym, you can probably beat today. In fact, I would bet on it. Paul set a record for the most shots from beyond half court in under 60 seconds... with four. Wow.

The NBA... where lame records happen.
