I somehow managed to stay awake through the "Skills" Competition long enough to catch the Dunk Contest and it turned out to be worth watching for once. (As an aside, has the NBA not learned that Magic Johnson with a microphone is still a bad idea?) Dwight Howard ran away with the title as he pretty much hit a perfect 50 dunk every time out. However, of all the dunks last night, I thought Gerald Green's "birthday cake dunk" was the best, even though Darryl Dawkins inexplicably gave it an 8. He should not be allowed to judge anymore. The first three dunks in this clip were my faves of the night.

A dunk contest preview with Dwight Howard & Jamario Moon
This year's contest is turning out to be one that people may actually watch as several of the contestants are talking some tremendous smack. From Rudy Gay wanting to go one-on-one with Dwight Howard on a 12-foot rim, to Gerald Green upping the ante to 13 feet, I am actually interested this year. Mix in newcomer Jamario Moon and this could turn out to be must-see-TV.
Howard's preview... (stick around for the last one)
Moon's preview...
It's not Jordan versus Dominique, but it still should be fun.
