SI headlines on my RSS reader that make me go "huh?"

Sports Illustrated is far and away the biggest clogger of my RSS reader of the currently 92 sites to which I subscribe. They have averaged sending me 69.5 stories a day in the last 30 days. That's a lot of headlines to come up with so it only makes sense that more than a few of them make me scratch my head. (Plus they cover soccer where at least half the headlines they post make absolute no sense to me.) All that being said, there are always a few that cross my desktop that I really have to look at hard to even figure out what sport they are talking about, and even then sometimes I fail. Here's a sampling of what I am talking about from just the past few days...

Cirstea upsets Chakvetadze in second round at Charleston
Who upset who? What sport is this? Charleston, South Carolina?

Harrison, 15, wins first main-draw match
This Harrison guy must be good for only 15. No idea at what sport though.

What are the "pollution Games"? Is the U.S. competing?

What is a "sell"? And why do they get extra?

Good for him? Who is he again?

I had a Flamengo dream. Janet Jones was in it.
Wait, no, that was The Flamingo Kid dream.

A fire spoiled an earthquake?

Laaaaammmme.

Is Moscow diving anything like dwarf tossing?

How about a little more Marisa Miller?

Yeah, what's one more post on Marisa and the swimsuit issue gonna hurt? This first video has Marisa all kinds of topless during the photoshoot, but she never actually lets us see all the goods. It's very frustrating. I was watching it going, "Oh, here we go... nope. Here it is! Nope. Ahhh... Damn!"

However, here is a little video showing Marisa all dolled up in bodypaint. Hey, it's as close to naked as you can get without being naked!

Hot or Not? Danica Patrick

I think Danica Patrick is hot. I also think she is annoying as hell, but that doesn't change the fact that I still think she is hot. However, Danica is a bit polarizing when it comes to this distinction. Many people I know don't find her the least bit attractive. So since SI was sharp enough to "convince" her Anna-ness to get into a bikini for it's latest swimsuit issue, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to put it to the masses. Danica Patrick, hot? Or not?

I think it's the fact that she drives a really fast car that adds to the attraction for me. You know, fast cars, fast women, that sort of thing...

More Hot or Nots. Help a brutha out.

Marisa Miller is your 2008 SI Swimsuit cover girl

In her seventh year appearing in SI's annual softcore porn issue, Marisa Miller will be making her first cover appearance. How this is possible is anyone's guess as she really should be on the cover of every issue of SI all year long. This year's issue features 19 models of varying degrees of hotness.

Marisa Miller will be the headline attraction in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition and will also feature race car driver Danica Patrick, four athlete wives, 12 NFL cheerleaders, Will Ferrell and Heidi Klum in a special Semi Pro photo shoot. The latest SI Swimsuit edition hits stores today.

Hey you bloggers out there, how would you like this traffic? There will be more than 250 million page views on SI.com/swimsuit this year.

SI's Web site already has some sneak peeks of several of the photos including Jeff Gordon's hot wife, Ingrid Vandebosch. No word on whether any of the wives had to take HGH to get ready for their photos this year.

The SI Swimsuit issue is just around the corner

The 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue makes it's way into the grubby hands of "sports fans" around the world on February 12. Since we know you just can't wait until then to learn about this year's "fashions", here's a little behind-the-scenes sneak peek.

UPDATE: Here's a bonus vid of Marisa Miller doing a little boxing. It has something to do with the issue too, I think, but I am not sure what. My hearing disappears when Marisa is on my screen, as do my hands, but I digress.
