Oscar De La Hoya/Steve Forbes Round 4

Round 4 begins with Lamps going over the one sided Compubox numbers, then throws it down to Lederman who has the fight scored the same way I do. Nice series of jabs by DLH, followed by a decent flurry by Forbes. Merchant suggesting that Forbes wants to turn the fight into a brawl. Nice combination to the head and body by Oscar. Flurry by Forbes mostly blocked. Halfway through the round and DLH's face is reddening somewhat. Nothing serious, but he's getting hit. Oscar with a nice flurry and misses with an uppercut that would have taken Forbes' head off. Oscar coming forward flurrys again to the head and body against the ropes. Forbes trying to showboat and I'm not sure that tyring to show up Oscar in his hometown is the way I'd approach it. DLH working the jab again and scoring with a combination as the round ends. Again, Forbes doesn't fight a bad round but Oscar wins it 10-9 and he leads 40-36 in the fight.
