Okay, check me on this because I could be wrong, but isn't the shot that won the UCLA Bruins the game yesterday illegal? See for yourself...
Unless the rules are different in college than they are in the pros, it shouldn't have counted. Take a look at this shot Larry Bird made back in the day. It was deemed against the rules and didn't count, so what's the difference? Help me out here.

Bird clearly throughout behind the backboard and made it. Shipp, at that angle (although close)...doesn't clearly go over the backboard, but along the corner. it's a judgement call...too close to call. but thank god they counted it.
