Welcome to the Lake-Show

The Los Angeles Lakers just seem to get better, and better.

Running out to a 10 game winning streak, the Lakers currently hold the best record in the Western Conference at 41-17.

This, from a team where when Andrew Bynum went down with an injury, it was wondered if they could manage to stay at .500 ball.

Ok, ok... they did manage to steal... errr... 'acquire' Pau Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies, but the real reason they're where they are is:

Kobe's playing some unbelievable ball at the moment - and it all stems down to one simple thing: he's happy... and he can sniff a championship. Not that they'll necessarily win it, but the Lakers sure are a damn sight closer than they've been since the big fella walked.

And although they are looking amazing at the moment, it's worth noting that they can still get better: Andrew Bynum is scheduled to rejoin the team some time in March.

Lastly, March 11th is Kobe Bryant Day.
